The mission of the St. John Paul II Stewardship Committee is to:
Foster in the parishioners of St. John Paul II Parish an awareness that stewardship is a way of life.
Encourage and invite all parishioners to willingly and joyously participate in the blessings of the St John Paul II Faith Community by receiving the blessings and gratefully giving back their God-given gifts of time, talent and treasure.
Help all members to live generously and thankfully, to understand the transformative power of Christian giving, and to use their time, talents and treasures to thank God for the blessed gift of life.
Encourage stewardship by children and teens through children’s activities and an annual Teen Stewardship Scholarship. (future)
About the Stewardship Committee The St. John Paul II Parish Stewardship Committee was established in September 2015 and consists of the pastor and 4 parishioners appointed by the pastor. In 2018, the committee began working with 4 members from St. Francis Xaiver, Henryville and St. Michael, Charlestown and we serve jointly for all three parishes. Those who accept the appointment commit to serving a minimum one year. The Stewardship Committee currently meets on the second Thursday of each month from 6:45 to 8:30 PM. For more information or to volunteer, contact a Committee Member.
