Barbara Smith was born in 1957 to Walter and Mary Blunk in New Albany, IN. She is the third of three children. She was raised in New Albany, attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help elementary school and New Albany High School. She attended Sullivan University for two years completing an Administrative Assistant Program graduating Magna Cum Laude. She married Mickey Smith in 1979 and they have three children – Kyle, Casey (husband Roy), and Kimberly. She has four grandchildren. After working in the private sector she accepted the Parish Secretary position at St. Paul in December of 1993. She was the Parish Secretary to Rev. Herman G. Lutz, Rev. Paul F. Richart and now serves Rev. Thomas E. Clegg.
Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, camping and boating.
