High School Youth Ministry Activities
Youth are an important part of the church. If you have suggestions for programs or activities you would like to do, please speak up and let us know! We are open to suggestions and feedback!
All activities require an annual permission slip/medical release form to be on file.
Did you know that sometimes activities sneak up and we may not get them on the website? If you would like to be on the youth ministry email list please send an email to Marlene Stammerman at mstammerman@StJohnPaulParish.org, so we can add your email address to our database! Also, if your email address has changed, please let us know your new email!
Other Events & Activity InfoCalling All Babysitters! On occasion, parents will ask Kristina or Marlene or Fr. Tom if they know a good babysitter. We don’t mind handing out names and phone numbers, but you have to tell us that you want to babysit!
Service Hours listed are available for Confirmation or for NHS or other school related groups! We are more than happy to sign slips stating you helped.
Weekly Service Opportunities:- Helping on Sunday mornings in the nursery during 9:30 or 11:15 mass! Can you dedicate one hour a month playing with little ones? Contact Jesse.
- CLOW – Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Help share the weekend mass readings with children during the 9:30 and 11:15 Sunday Masses. Contact Jesse.
New Driver Blessing—The Catholic Community of Sellersburg will be blessing new drivers (those who just got their driver’s license) twice a year at all masses. The next blessing will be in the Fall 2019. We will send out an email about one week prior to the weekend of the blessing. -
