Come and See

St. John Paul II is launching a new process for Sacramental Preparation this spring. The purpose of the Come and Sees are to help parishioners understand why we are moving from programs to processes and what that looks like for various sacraments. Moving from programs to processes is part of the Divine Renovation strategies in growing healthy
parishes and actively engaging parents, children, teens and families in preparation for celebrating Sacraments.

Here are some key points the Come and Sees will cover:

• Moving from Program to Process will enable the following:
  • For all parishioners to know Jesus Christ and be in relationship with Him
  • For all parishioners to know and be loved by the Catholic Community
  • For all parishioners to be totally transformed by Jesus
  • For all parishioners to live a life reflective of the Holy Spirit
• We want to make and grow disciples who are active in our Parish family, embracing a process, and walking the pathway of discipleship
• Moving from a transactional to a transformative experience with Sacramental prep
• What living the life of a disciple looks like – it’s a way of life
• Focus on readiness and not age or grade
• Evangelization is the center of Parish Life here at JPII – therefore it needs to be at the center for Sacramental preparation
