College students are packing up and preparing for another year at school. Some are traveling far and some are staying at home. Whether students are staying home or going away we want to support them with prayers and thoughts! We want them to stay connected to our parish family.
So that we can stay in touch, the Fellowship Commission needs your college student(s) name(s), school, address and email! Please complete this form to submit your contact info. This committee coordinates times to send out cards and care packages throughout the year from our parish. The office also notifies the Newman Centers or Catholic Churches near your student of them so they can reach out as well.
Barnabas Project
We are also looking for college students who would like extra prayers and a secret pal from our parish to sign up for the The Barnabas Program. Parishioners are needed to sign up to be the secret pals! This program is offered at other local parishes and is called the Barnabas Program. Barnabas means "encourager" and that is exactly what the people who decide to adopt a college student will be for the school year - a prayer warrior and encourager for the college student. A Barnabas is encouraged to send cards, notes, or care packages to their college student to help them through their school year. Typically, this is done anonymously, but if you would like to reveal yourself you can at anytime during the year. If you are a college student and would like to have the extra prayers and encouragement through the year, be sure to complete this information on the form with your contact info!
Thank you to all those that share info about college students and those that choose to be a Barnabas to our parish college students near and far!
